1992 Calumet High School won the State Hockey Championship in Class B-C-D. Their record for the season was 24-2-1 and they were coached by Jim Crawford

 1993 Inaugural year for the Michigan Tech Women's Hockey Club coached by ?. Michigan Tech joined the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin as schools in the midwest offering women’s hockey as a club sport. The 1997-98 season marked the first time the team traveled outside of the area when they traveled to Madison, Wisconsin for three games against the University of Wisconsin club teams. During the 1998-99 season, the team played club teams from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and Lake Superior State University, earning victories in each meeting. In April of 1999, they traveled to Washington D.C. to compete with the top women’s senior ‘B’ teams in the country at the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament. The Huskies finished the tournament with a respectable 2-2 record. The team plays an independent schedule including games against other club teams from Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and beyond. The long-term goal for the Club is to join the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).

1996 Inaugural year for the Keweenaw Wings (K-Wings), the 19U girls hockey team coached by Larry Lankton. The Keweenaw Wings Girls Hockey Program is part of the Copper Country Junior Hockey Association based in Houghton, Michigan. The K-Wings Midgets have established themselves as one of the strongest teams in the Upper Great Lakes region. The team plays 40-50 games per year, has won numerous tournaments in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

1997  New artificial ice system installed and new cement surface poured at the Dee Ice Arena.

1998 Bob Rangus, stand out player for the State Championship Calumet High School team, was honored as Michigan's Mr. Hockey and still has the honor of being the only Upper Peninsula player to ever receive that award!

 1998  Dee Hockey History Room and lobby remodeled.  

 1999  Hancock High School Hockey team won the State Championship.

1999 Portage Lake Pioneers won the National Adult U.S. Championship. "The Pioneers finished the season 36-1 and were USA National Champions. Pioneer records were set by Justin Marcum in scoring with 110 Points, Goals Scored by Dave Thorager with 64, and assists by Justin Marcum with 65. Jeff Adler had 24 wins and Jeff Markham finished undefeated at 12-0. The pioneers dominated senior hockey by averaging over 10 goals a game. Nationals were closer but the neers breezed through for their first national title in team history." Their player/coach was Mike Hauswirth and manager was Cathy Lucchesi; their home ice was the Dee Stadium.

U.S. Champions!

 1999 The new $2 million Peter J. Grant Hockey Educational Center is officially dedicated at the Michigan Tech Student Ice Rink. Included in the HEC project are an expanded varsity locker room and sauna, along with a strength and conditioning room, and training room. Teaching and learning facilities include a classroom/study room, a multipurpose conference room, and a video editing/conference room. An alumni reception room and players lounge, coaches offices, and equipment room, and the expansion of the press box in the MacInnes Student Ice Arena were included in the new and renovated support facilities.
